Again to Building and Safety!

 Katherine joined me today for my 'semi-scheduled' meeting at SMGOV where I got parking accomplished for next week's roofing but we still have to get the automated inspection system running for us.

And then we filed a report with the police department regarding the condo 'neighbor' who complained about our trees (but not the condo association which did not agree this was an issue).  The guy broke into our property to tie a tarp against one of the trees......the police agreed:  let's do our roof in peace - and then let that condo HOA know about their lunatic resident.......

Finally - we got to Gilbert's El Indio and Katherine agrees - it is great!!

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. Watching Freddie

 I started early today and while I anticipated a light day, it was 'more involved' than I anticipated.  John Achorn acted his way through chapters 19-22 of Huck Finn.  We discussed the LA Times sponsored Festival of Books at which Percival Everett, author of James, spoke.  For Summer session (8 weeks), we are going to read Raymond Carver short stories.  We were also asked for our input regarding choice of authors for the Fall semester. I got home just as Freddie's class began.  The legions of women watercolor painters who simply adore Freddie Manseau makes his Zoom class quite entertaining.  Freddie is a true character - the extent to which he plays up on this to keep his classes large is open to conjecture but regardless, I am enjoying painting!
