Santa Monica Blvd and Westwood Blvd blocked off from traffic today!

That would have been nicer than it was had the weather been warmer and if there were not two sections that were limited to walking through.  It was nice to see so many parents with children out riding this morning but for a more serious rider?  Nope - blocking off those streets did not yield a good bike ride - c'est la vie.....

We were on the roof, yesterday morning, of the condo wanting to trim our trees.  Sadly, we believe that the lunatic who argued with Katherine when he came, wanting the trees trimmed - by himself, not representing his HOA.   Is he the one who poured fermented urine on ours and the Chasen's property?   Too many unanswered questions for which we now are looking at security services to generate some peace of mind here, after a couple of 'attacks'.

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. Watching Freddie

 I started early today and while I anticipated a light day, it was 'more involved' than I anticipated.  John Achorn acted his way through chapters 19-22 of Huck Finn.  We discussed the LA Times sponsored Festival of Books at which Percival Everett, author of James, spoke.  For Summer session (8 weeks), we are going to read Raymond Carver short stories.  We were also asked for our input regarding choice of authors for the Fall semester. I got home just as Freddie's class began.  The legions of women watercolor painters who simply adore Freddie Manseau makes his Zoom class quite entertaining.  Freddie is a true character - the extent to which he plays up on this to keep his classes large is open to conjecture but regardless, I am enjoying painting!
