A very pleasant 27 when 31 was predicted

 I was going to call the IRS this morning.  I never did......the fact that i have all the proof I need and there is still a lot of time before I really have to call......I'm not in any hurry.......

I did go to class and after, in the confines of the Emeritus office, discovered how technically inept I am - the Geek Squad taught me how to pair my Fire to my iPhone......and I already forgot.....dammit!

My 'novel' class ended today.  There were 6 of is there, live.....approximately 50 online.  There is so much more gained from live attendance......I will have a mixture of both in the fall as I do 4 classes - one md-morning Monday;  one each at the start of both Tuesday and Wednesday......and one to follow the Wednesday morning class.

I will go to SMC before the end of August and pay $22.50 again - 4 x $22.50 for a year of ALL  LA County public transportation....$90 a year is a bargain!

.......and I will try to get the IRS by phone this afternoon.......

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. It has been awhile.........

 I took both a flu and a covid shot at CVS on Monday, this past week.  I had a reaction on Tuesday and that more or less screwed up my entire week.  Earlier that Monday I sat through my first Valeda session that started with eye testing - each eye both 'clearly' and with dots covering that previously clear line of sight - followed by 4 series of light treatment (2 each with each eye open and 2 with each eye closed...30 sec....90 sec....30 sec....90 sec). That's it - but each is recorded in detail and reported back to the German developers and they build their data base.   So.....what do I think after 3 sessions with 6 more scheduled over the next two weeks that will complete the first of three treatments that will be scheduled this year?  Surprisingly, I actually do see the smaller letters in the eye tests a bit more clearly now than at the start of the week........and I am obviously encouraged by that! Will the world economy tank?

 I think so.  I am half-way through Ray Dalio's new book - truly something both self-indulgent and prophetic based upon some comprehensive research.  I think we are headed for some rough times and quite frankly, some alternative 'diversification' from cash&marketable securities might be called for.  An apartment to invest in?  At the right price and location and with long term potential, this is something to consider............... Consider this:  a discussion on the world economy while munching on the best that 5 Guys has that isn't even on the menu! Ask for a patty melt.  That's a grilled cheese sandwich with a hamburger patty.  Get it loaded:  mustard, ketchup, pickles, relish, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms.  Great sandwich for $10.99!!! Today, though, we will go to Century City where we will bypass Din Tai Fung and go to Panda Express in the food court for orange chicken.
