Happiness is (sort of) figuring out what is going on...........

 I ate something?  Or I succumbed to the heat?  Whatever.......I was in St John's Emergency Room all Tuesday afternoon, a day when there was only one other patient than me waiting......and with Medicare Supplement insurance, the hospital was assured of payment of all they did....and they had a field day!!  I got faster test results than I got from the blood takers at UCLA Health the week before.  Why can't the two systems communicate and efficiently eliminate a needless repetition of tasks?  Will there be Medicare for all in the future (in my lifetime) to eliminate so much of what is wrong with our current, very inequitable system?  What'll it take to change if this is going to be the eventuality?

Enough questions!

We are getting our act together vis a vis next week's Court appearance. And I have a very, very workable schedule between now and then.........onwards.......

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. It has been awhile.........

 I took both a flu and a covid shot at CVS on Monday, this past week.  I had a reaction on Tuesday and that more or less screwed up my entire week.  Earlier that Monday I sat through my first Valeda session that started with eye testing - each eye both 'clearly' and with dots covering that previously clear line of sight - followed by 4 series of light treatment (2 each with each eye open and 2 with each eye closed...30 sec....90 sec....30 sec....90 sec). That's it - but each is recorded in detail and reported back to the German developers and they build their data base.   So.....what do I think after 3 sessions with 6 more scheduled over the next two weeks that will complete the first of three treatments that will be scheduled this year?  Surprisingly, I actually do see the smaller letters in the eye tests a bit more clearly now than at the start of the week........and I am obviously encouraged by that! Will the world economy tank?

 I think so.  I am half-way through Ray Dalio's new book - truly something both self-indulgent and prophetic based upon some comprehensive research.  I think we are headed for some rough times and quite frankly, some alternative 'diversification' from cash&marketable securities might be called for.  An apartment to invest in?  At the right price and location and with long term potential, this is something to consider............... Consider this:  a discussion on the world economy while munching on the best that 5 Guys has that isn't even on the menu! Ask for a patty melt.  That's a grilled cheese sandwich with a hamburger patty.  Get it loaded:  mustard, ketchup, pickles, relish, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms.  Great sandwich for $10.99!!! Today, though, we will go to Century City where we will bypass Din Tai Fung and go to Panda Express in the food court for orange chicken.
