You can't always get what you want....with the IRS

 They sent us CP-504 for 2025, Notice of Intent to Levy.  It was dated 24 July.  We have proof of payment using IRS Direct on 13 July.

I called the 27th.  Could not get through.  Tried answering a different way on the 28th - get further through the system.  Called at 6:30am this morning and was told to call between 8 and 8.  I called at 8:01.

I was put on hold and told there would be about an hour wait.

At close to 100 minutes, I was switched to a line that rang...twice.....and then those mother-fuckers disconnected me!!!!!

I went to IDme.com, set up by the IRS to get transcripts among other things, never expecting to actually being able to get it to work.......hey, it was confusing but I got there........and my 2025 transcript showed that I did pay and that the letter was wrong!!

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. It has been awhile.........

 I took both a flu and a covid shot at CVS on Monday, this past week.  I had a reaction on Tuesday and that more or less screwed up my entire week.  Earlier that Monday I sat through my first Valeda session that started with eye testing - each eye both 'clearly' and with dots covering that previously clear line of sight - followed by 4 series of light treatment (2 each with each eye open and 2 with each eye closed...30 sec....90 sec....30 sec....90 sec). That's it - but each is recorded in detail and reported back to the German developers and they build their data base.   So.....what do I think after 3 sessions with 6 more scheduled over the next two weeks that will complete the first of three treatments that will be scheduled this year?  Surprisingly, I actually do see the smaller letters in the eye tests a bit more clearly now than at the start of the week........and I am obviously encouraged by that! #5 Baseball

 Joanna gained admission to Sophia University in Tokyo. For baseball, that mean full immersion into NPB - Nippon Professional Baseball.  The 'bridge' for American baseball diehards to baseball in Japan has been Bob Bavasi's JapanBall.  Bavasi, son of long time Dodger General Manager Buzzie Bavasi, had a program that scheduled going to baseball games at all twelve home team stadiums (plus a countryside game) in a two week period.  In 2012, I went on that program which ended on 17 September at the Sapporo Dome where I celebrated my 70th birthday with a whole lot of hi-fiving fans as the four of us JapanBallers passed out CrackerJack packets .........birthday parties do not get as unique as this one was!
