15 remembered

 15 of those I've communicated with over the years still remembered - they sent me birthday greetings - including one who sent a long email.....one who I apparently made some impact upon but alas, I do not remember him other than sending birthday greetings.....such is life.....

We went to Teddy's for breakfast yesterday.....not as good as the Pantry was but hey, close enough and actually, so fucking close to us to warrant going more often!

We've found someone to repair our front fence - and will do this in conjunction with raising our current fence as it is 'refurbished' and putting in bamboo dividers to raise height without needing a permit.......we now need to go to City Hall to confirm what we can legally do without permit.

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. My life is intertwined with baseball tying so much more than the game into it.  Yeah, 'Baseball is Life'.........I wish I still had that T shirt!  I have been on a baseball odyssey from sometime in September, 1944 when my mother and her sisters Sarah and Faye  and 4 cousins attended Ladies Day at Ebbetts Field where the St Louis Cardinals beat the Brooklyn Dodgers.   Of course I don't remember it!  But it is what I do remember from 18 September 1947 on - far more than just the Dodgers and World Series matters.  I have h...

Monday morning

 How nice to wake up and see sun!  Of course it is still cold out - some May:  only 16C out but if feels lower than that.  Regardless, the morning walk was nice and I do plan to get out more!  Tonight at 5pm there is a free screening of a movie at the Main Campus of Santa Monica College - I will go for this.  Tomorrow is school - and after, perhaps a movie??? I'm going to keep on writing bits and pieces in this blog every day (if possible).  But I am also going to start posting, by hand, in the Moleskin 'hybrid' pad.  That's where I will write that which I don't want to commit to computer..........it'll be far more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

an alarm went off at 7am

SimpliSafe appears to be  complexly sensitive:  The alarm went off because there was some motion outside.  What motion?  Who the hell knows.....but it did force us up earlier than we had anticipated and it was, per chance, one of those rare early mornings - the sun was out and it was already warm enough not to totally bundle up prior to my early morning walk! There were only 2 Trader Joe's cashiers open as I was third on line.... The alarm went off again as I came home.  This time I entered the PIN and it went off.  Why it responded this time and not previous times I'll never know. It is going to be quite comfortable out this afternoon - time to alter plans and take advantage of being out later on today.......an early Big Mac lunch (for free since I have monthly coupons) and then a photo shoot this afternoon???? Let us see.....
