 Here I am, solidly entrenched as a certifiable old fart, bundled up because 16 degrees C was too cold for me to go out for a morning walk.  Actually, once I awakened to the fact that there was not going to be any rain today and that this was going to be a simply beautiful morning outside, I functioned a whole lot better!

It is now 12:15pm and I've just about completed all my scheduled tasks - with music practice and answering ID.me all neessary to have a completed day.  I'll go out later.....listen to game 2 of the Series....read, rest, etc, etc. for the remainder of the day......and definitely look forward to a day at the opera tomorrow.

This week is (more or less) set up.  I have three mornings of classes this week and Thursday night,29 October, I will become a clown for my weekly Sweet Dreams stint at St John's Hospital......and then, on Saturday, TianTian comes....and the following morning Joanna will get here and we'll spend our time together through the end of the week.  I am obviously very happy about that!

Monday morning

 How nice to wake up and see sun!  Of course it is still cold out - some May:  only 16C out but if feels lower than that.  Regardless, the morning walk was nice and I do plan to get out more!  Tonight at 5pm there is a free screening of a movie at the Main Campus of Santa Monica College - I will go for this.  Tomorrow is school - and after, perhaps a movie??? I'm going to keep on writing bits and pieces in this blog every day (if possible).  But I am also going to start posting, by hand, in the Moleskin 'hybrid' pad.  That's where I will write that which I don't want to commit to computer..........it'll be far more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. My life is intertwined with baseball tying so much more than the game into it.  Yeah, 'Baseball is Life'.........I wish I still had that T shirt!  I have been on a baseball odyssey from sometime in September, 1944 when my mother and her sisters Sarah and Faye  and 4 cousins attended Ladies Day at Ebbetts Field where the St Louis Cardinals beat the Brooklyn Dodgers.   Of course I don't remember it!  But it is what I do remember from 18 September 1947 on - far more than just the Dodgers and World Series matters.  I have h...

Does creation of a couple of paragraphs each day truly help?

 a) Will it help? b)  If it helps, what will it help? c)  If it does not help, does it do anything? d)  Haven't I got anything better to  do than write these things? O.K.  so here it is, mid-morning on a Saturday.  I slept a tad bit later than usual this morning and am happy that, if nothing else, I got in a pretty decent morning ride whilst the weather truly sucked.  Will I go out again tomorrow?  I doubt it - I'm charging my bike now.  It'll be ready for the entire weekend, next week.  Tomorrow I'll leave in time to get to Abernethy's in the Music Center Plaza by noon - just in case the seat occupant next to me shows up for lunch.  I was able to make a 12:15 lunch reservation for 3 of us:  the two season ticket seat occupants next to me for tomorrow's Falstaff........regardless, either two or three of us will dine (and wine?) prior to the 2pm matinee.
