Our first Sunday, post roofing........

There's a fine dust layer that Katherine has been battling against over the past few days.  No way other than getting into every nook and cranny and window sill and painting frame throughout the house.....some places more than once..........but it'll all be done.

Me?  I've been out walking after cycling after feeling too damned cold in the house.

I have one basic email to write this afternoon......and more reading......and I really do have to get myself into an essay writing mood.......

I do have to 'solidify' both my sketching and my music playing routines - there's so much I want to accomplish and yet I am somewhat intimidated by the time it will take to so so little actually accomplished.....such is life.....

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. Watching Freddie

 I started early today and while I anticipated a light day, it was 'more involved' than I anticipated.  John Achorn acted his way through chapters 19-22 of Huck Finn.  We discussed the LA Times sponsored Festival of Books at which Percival Everett, author of James, spoke.  For Summer session (8 weeks), we are going to read Raymond Carver short stories.  We were also asked for our input regarding choice of authors for the Fall semester. I got home just as Freddie's class began.  The legions of women watercolor painters who simply adore Freddie Manseau makes his Zoom class quite entertaining.  Freddie is a true character - the extent to which he plays up on this to keep his classes large is open to conjecture but regardless, I am enjoying painting!
