Tuesday morning blues........

 Hey, I miss my classes, even though it'll only be a couple of weeks off prior to the Fall semester beginning.  I like the structure and the fact that in addition to attendance, there is 'suggested' homework that is equal to approximately two hours for each hour of class.....8 hours of classes in the Fall......24 hours a week of 'structure'....that works for me.

I'm going to call the Santa Monica Public Works Supervisor today.  We need 'guidance' vis a vis filling out forms for modification of tree height but not until after the TRO Court hearing scheduled for 20 August.........do I call this morning or this afternoon???

Regardless, I will go to Spectrum Internet today to determine what exactly I am paying for and what I get for this.......and whether I will keep Spectrum...........

Sometime this week or next I'd like to see the new Spiderman movie........I do not have sufficient bladder control to see Odyssey - and I do not like interrupting watching to go pee......

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. It has been awhile.........

 I took both a flu and a covid shot at CVS on Monday, this past week.  I had a reaction on Tuesday and that more or less screwed up my entire week.  Earlier that Monday I sat through my first Valeda session that started with eye testing - each eye both 'clearly' and with dots covering that previously clear line of sight - followed by 4 series of light treatment (2 each with each eye open and 2 with each eye closed...30 sec....90 sec....30 sec....90 sec). That's it - but each is recorded in detail and reported back to the German developers and they build their data base.   So.....what do I think after 3 sessions with 6 more scheduled over the next two weeks that will complete the first of three treatments that will be scheduled this year?  Surprisingly, I actually do see the smaller letters in the eye tests a bit more clearly now than at the start of the week........and I am obviously encouraged by that! #5 Baseball

 Joanna gained admission to Sophia University in Tokyo. For baseball, that mean full immersion into NPB - Nippon Professional Baseball.  The 'bridge' for American baseball diehards to baseball in Japan has been Bob Bavasi's JapanBall.  Bavasi, son of long time Dodger General Manager Buzzie Bavasi, had a program that scheduled going to baseball games at all twelve home team stadiums (plus a countryside game) in a two week period.  In 2012, I went on that program which ended on 17 September at the Sapporo Dome where I celebrated my 70th birthday with a whole lot of hi-fiving fans as the four of us JapanBallers passed out CrackerJack packets .........birthday parties do not get as unique as this one was!
