Monday morning: Before sunrise

 Katherine had a 7:30am medical appointment across the street at St Johns this morning.  We were up early...we breakfasted early.....and she was back within an hour.

The plastic and rubber French Press that I got via Amazon works wonderfully!  It took a few tries at getting it right and it appears to now be 'right'!!!  6-7 oz of hot, fresh brewed coffee - complete with a caffeine kick!

I will leave in about 15 minutes for my bus to school and then lunch out followed by a movie.  If I stay the length of today's class then I will go to the Laemmle in Santa Monica and see Digger.....Is it really that bad or is it a hidden gem?  Then, on Wednesday, I might go to the Laemmle Royal in West LA to watch Nava, the Guardian backed Palestine documentary......

Regardless, it'll be good to get a day out......and I'll take my Rollei for a possible photoshoot, too!

Monday morning

 How nice to wake up and see sun!  Of course it is still cold out - some May:  only 16C out but if feels lower than that.  Regardless, the morning walk was nice and I do plan to get out more!  Tonight at 5pm there is a free screening of a movie at the Main Campus of Santa Monica College - I will go for this.  Tomorrow is school - and after, perhaps a movie??? I'm going to keep on writing bits and pieces in this blog every day (if possible).  But I am also going to start posting, by hand, in the Moleskin 'hybrid' pad.  That's where I will write that which I don't want to commit to computer..........it'll be far more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 Baseball

It is late morning on a wet Saturday as the rains - more than a drizzle but not enough for me to consider taking an umbrella with me were I to go out - have been (more or less) steady since early morning, yesterday.  I'm gonna be indoors all day, today - still in my pajamas - no need to go out.......and our small home is pleasantly, comfortably warm - with a thermal vest atop the pj tops as the central heating keeps our place warm. My life is intertwined with baseball tying so much more than the game into it.  Yeah, 'Baseball is Life'.........I wish I still had that T shirt!  I have been on a baseball odyssey from sometime in September, 1944 when my mother and her sisters Sarah and Faye  and 4 cousins attended Ladies Day at Ebbetts Field where the St Louis Cardinals beat the Brooklyn Dodgers.   Of course I don't remember it!  But it is what I do remember from 18 September 1947 on - far more than just the Dodgers and World Series matters.  I have h...

Does creation of a couple of paragraphs each day truly help?

 a) Will it help? b)  If it helps, what will it help? c)  If it does not help, does it do anything? d)  Haven't I got anything better to  do than write these things? O.K.  so here it is, mid-morning on a Saturday.  I slept a tad bit later than usual this morning and am happy that, if nothing else, I got in a pretty decent morning ride whilst the weather truly sucked.  Will I go out again tomorrow?  I doubt it - I'm charging my bike now.  It'll be ready for the entire weekend, next week.  Tomorrow I'll leave in time to get to Abernethy's in the Music Center Plaza by noon - just in case the seat occupant next to me shows up for lunch.  I was able to make a 12:15 lunch reservation for 3 of us:  the two season ticket seat occupants next to me for tomorrow's Falstaff........regardless, either two or three of us will dine (and wine?) prior to the 2pm matinee.
